| Weight Training/12 Mi Run/Finesse Football Worksheet (for Lessons 9,10 and 11 of Y10/11 PE Programme.) The aim of Weight Training is to improve local muscular endurance, cardio-respiratory fitness, speed, muscle tone, muscular strength and to enhance rehabilitation after injury. It involves lifting weights of various resistances, depending on the desired training outcome of the sportsman. In the lesson, you will get to know the tenns: Exercises, Weight used as % Max, 5 Rep Max, 10 Rep Max, Number of sets, Control Speed, Recovery, Frequency and F.I.T.T. The Leonard 8 Minute Run is a test of fitness that sees how far a sportsman can run in 12 minutes. Whilst doing this test, you will wear a ‘Heart Monitor’ and then chart your recovery over a 5 minute period. Finesse Football will take you into the realms of Aerobic Training and at the same time, it will be competitive.
